Bluebell Florists was established in 2010 in the village of Almondbury, Huddersfield by Natalie, the owner. Situated in a beautiful, little characterful cottage style stone building, Natalie oversees the entire running of the shop and is assisted by two trusted delivery drivers.
After studying completely non flowery subjects at university and working in office based jobs for a few years, Natalie decided a change was required and began a journey into the world of floristry. After completing a two year City and Guilds Floristry course and volunteering at a local Huddersfield Florist, it was time to take the plunge and think about setting up her own floristry business. A little vacant shop was advertised for rent in Almondbury and a few months later Bluebell Florists was created.
Natural, seasonal, scented, country garden style flowers and foliages are the definite preferred choice at Bluebell Florists. This is reflected in all aspects of flowering at Bluebell Florists, whether for gift occasions or weddings and farwell flowers. Flower varieties that regularly feature in Bluebell Florists creations are roses, hydrangea, clematis, berries, scented stocks, antirrhinum, delphinium and plenty of eucalyptus and herb foliage. Flowers that open, grow and move throughout their life span, rather than varieties that remain static and unchanging.
The style of the flowers is reflected in the decor of the shop. Here you will find flowers displayed in vintage containers such as milk churns, vintage zinc florist vases and stone jars. The gift wrapping is elegant and understated using eco friendly materials such as craft and tissue papers and hessian and avoiding the use of unnecessary cellophanes and plastic.
All flowers are prepared daily in the Almondbury shop and delivered personally by friendly delivery drivers.
